Electoral Observation Training Course for the Public Diplomacy Council of Catalonia

The Public Diplomacy Council of Catalonia organizes, with the support of the Barcelona City Council and the Barcelona International Peace Resource Center, a course on election observation.

The aim is to train a pool of election observation experts qualified able to observe elections both locally and internationally. Students who pass the course will join Diplocat’s roster to participate in future missions.

The course will be held by ECES (European Centre for Electoral Suport), a no-profit private foundation based in Brussels that promotes sustainable democratic development and has broad experience on election observation and assistance Training.

ECES has built its electoral observation training methodology around its experience and the experience of its experts. This training methodology builds on a combination of theory and practical exercises aimed at providing participants with an approach derived from field experience and in line with international electoral observation standards.
